The most common thing I hear from mothers is: “I wish we had done this earlier.” With a newborn at home, a toddler who never sits still, a pregnancy that felt ordinary at the time — it is easy to keep saying next month, next year.
I specialise in the windows that close quietly: the bump that disappears overnight, the sitter phase that lasts eight weeks, the last birthday where they still believe in magic. These are the portraits your children will fight over one day. My job is to make sure they exist.

I’m pregnant. When should I book?
The sweet spot is 32–36 weeks — when the belly is full but you are still comfortable to move freely. Sessions can be scheduled from 28 weeks. Book at least 4–6 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and light.

My baby is 5 months. Have I missed the sitter window?
Not at all — you are right on time. The sitter window runs from 6 to 10 months. Book now for a session at 6–8 months to capture the very peak of the personality window before they start crawling.

Can I commission maternity and sitter portraits together?
Yes — and many families do. A Motherhood Legacy Commission covers maternity through the first birthday as a connected series designed to live together on your walls. Contact us to discuss this as a package.
